What do you see in this image? What you see depends on your point of view, your perspective.

There’s both a white vase and two black profiles, but one of them stands out depending on the way you see things.

This same principle applies when we read the Bible. We read it from a certain perspective. It may be a preconceived notion we have. It may be through a filter of how we’ve come to understand a certain passage. It may be a perspective we were taught. If we’d never read the Bible and pick it up one day, we’ll see things through our own experiences, sensitivities, fears, orientation to life and our notions of God.

Preparing Ourselves for the Spring Feasts, Part 2

BarleyIn Part 1, we looked at not just the month of Nisan, but the season of Nisan, “The Abib” (called Aviv in Hebrew).  We learned that it’s a time of:

  • Moving from one place to another by the supernatural hand of Yehovah.
  • The unrighteous becoming ripe for punishment and the righteous ripe to step into their future.
  • Moving toward our destiny.

Inside the Tabernacle

In Parts 2 and 3, we’ve looked at God’s gift of faith that enables us to enter through the fence enclosing the tabernacle, representing His kingdom.  We’ve been forgiven because He offered His own Son at the Bronze Altar.

Saved and forgiven – this is a great place to be.  Some people stay at this place for years, maybe forever.  But God has so many other gifts He wants to provide us to bring us into deeper intimacy with Himself.  (more…)
